The main function of the IAFEP is to explore the economics of participation. Typical topics that members work on include employee ownership, cooperatives, labor-management decision-making, co-determination, profit-sharing, non-profit organizations, and economic democracy. For years we published the Journal of Economic Analysis and Workers' Management (contents are listed below) and later the Journal of Enterprise and Participation.
The next conference (2016) will take place at the Copenhagen Business School. Aleksandra Gregorič (email@example.com) and Niels Mygind (firstname.lastname@example.org) will be part of the organizing committee.
The 17th Conference of the International Association for Economic of Participation (IAFEP) took place in Montevideo last July, 2014, hosted by Instituto de Economia, Universidad de la República. According to participants, it was a really successful event. The 2014 Horvat Vanek Prize was shared between Tolulope Akinfemisoye (Leeds University Business School, UK) and Nathalie Magne (Université Lyon 2, France). We are glad to inform you that Prof. John Pencavel and Prof. Louis Putterman have accepted to be part of the IAFEP council for the next two years. (The call for papers for this last conference is still available at the website http://www.iecon.ccee.edu.uy/17th-conference-of-iafep/contenido/80/es/)
