Advances in the Economic Analysis of Participatory and Labor-Managed Firms,
Volume 8
Advances in the Economic Analysis of Participatory and Labor-Managed
Firms is an edited annual volume of original international research on the
issue of participatory and labor-managed organizations. Past volumes are representative
of the best theoretical and empirical research being carried out on the economic
analysis of participatory and labor-managed firms. Typical areas of research
include employee-ownership, cooperatives, labor-management decision-making,
co-determination, profit-sharing, and economic democracy.
For the 8th Volume of ‘Advances’ the editors invite submissions
from all fields of theoretical and empirical research into participatory and
labor-managed firms, and particularly those that address the following themes.
1. Changes in ownership structure and survival of employee-owned firms.
2. Empirical evidence on the performance of participatory and labor-managed
firms.
3. The role of employees and their representatives in corporate governance.
4. Employee participation and ownership throughout the world, particularly
in those countries where employee ownership is in its infancy.
Submissions are invited from all relevant fields of study including industrial
economics, comparative economic systems, institutional economics, evolutionary
economics, development economics, organizational studies and management studies.
To be considered for publication manuscripts must be received by 14 July 2003
and should include your institutional affiliation and mailing address, plus
a short list of keywords. The journal's policy is to have an efficient refereeing
system that minimizes the submission-publication lag.
The preferred way to send the manuscript is by email attachment. To do so,
simply attach a copy of the Microsoft Word file to an email and send it to
both of the volume editors. Alternatively, you may submit 3 paper copies of
your manuscript, along with a covering letter noting your postal address,
email address and telephone number.
